Good Omens Season 2 is a fantasy comedy series bent and written by Neil Gaiman, based on his and Terry Pratchett’s 1990 novel of a similar name. A six-episode co-production among Amazon Studios and BBC Studios, the series was directed by Douglas Mackinnon, with Gaiman also helping as showrunner. Michael Sheen and David Tennant main a large ensemble cast that also contains Adria Arjona, Miranda Richardson, Michael McKean, Jack Whitehall, Nick Offerman, Brian Cox, Mireille Enos, Jon Hamm, and Frances McDormand as the voice of God, who re-counts the series.
Like the novel, Good Omens topographies various Christian themes and figures and follows various characters all trying to what’s more encourage or prevent the coming of an imminent Armageddon seen done the eyes of the angel Aziraphale and the demon Crowley.

All episodes of the initial season were released on Amazon Prime Video on May 31, 2019, and aired weekly on BBC Two in the UK between January 15 and February 19, 2020. Gaiman expounded on that last teaser a bit more in a statement tied to the regeneration. In Good Omens season 2, he says, “We are back in Soho, and all done time and space, solving a mystery, which jumps with an angel wandering through Soho, with no memory.” Expect David Tennant and Michael Sheen to echo their roles as a couple of celestial beings who, possibly temporarily, have fallen off of Heaven and Hell’s locater.
It seems doubtful that we’ll see many of the other characters as of the first season of Good Omens whose arcs have settled. The Antichrist will hopefully have his own uneventful but contented childhood and the Witchfinders won’t be required with Newton and Anathema blissfully ignorant of any forecasts, having forgotten most of the averted apocalypse. But everything is possible!
Pratchett’s brand of humor is in decent hands with Gaiman’s writing partner for Good Omens season 2, John Finnemore. The jokes writer is known for his hilarious radio sketch comedy show, John Finnemore’s Souvenir Programme, and he was the inventor of the radio sitcom Cabin Pressure, which included a pre-Sherlock Benedict Cumberbatch. Filming commences for the second season later in 2021 in Scotland.

Tennant and Sheen are back on board as the faces of the show.
Other recurring cast members include Paul Adeyefa, Michael McKean, Gloria Obianyo, Miranda Richardson, Maggie Service, Reece Shearsmith then Nina Sosanya.

Siân Phillips (Dune), Tim Downie (Outlander), Andi Osho (I May Destroy You), and Alex Norton (Pirates of the Caribbean) have also been added to the cast.
Sadly, one person who won’t be the backbone though, according to Deadline, is Benedict Cumberbatch, who voices Satan in the series. This unsatisfactory news broke in January 2022.
