- Casey Deidrick as Max Parish, a food truck owner and associate of Darnell who becomes attracted to Murphy.
- Keston John as Darnell James, a local gang leader and Tyson’s cousin, who Murphy turns to for help finding him.
- Morgan Krantz as Felix Bell, Murphy’s colleague at Guiding Hope.
- Thamela Mpumlwana as Tyson Parker (season 1), a teenager who saved Murphy from a violent mugging two years previously, and became her closest friend until his untimely death.
- Derek Webster as Hank Mason (season 1; guest season 2), Murphy’s adoptive father and the co-owner of Guiding Hope.
- Kathleen York as Joy Mason (season 1; special guest seasons 2-3), Murphy’s adoptive mother and the co-owner of Guiding Hope. Unlike Hank, she is less accepting of Murphy’s poor life choices.
- Theodore Bhat as Josh Wallace (season 3; recurring season 2), an IRS-CI special agent who is starting to lose his sight.
- Matt Murray as Officer Gene Clemens (season 3; recurring season 2), Dean’s last partner on the police force.
In The Dark Season 4 Updates
- Casey Deidrich, who plays Murphy’s love interest, Max Parrish, confessed that he almost didn’t get the part in the CW’s In The Dark. Why?He stated that he was about to quit his entire acting and performing career when this audition landed in his lap. He did his test screening with Perry Mattfeld (Murphy), and there was a lot of spark between them. Casey confesses that he left the audition feeling really comfortable about himself. He was eventually summoned back and booked the part.
- Pretzel will undoubtedly return for Season 4 of In The Dark. Pretzel, the golden retriever service dog, is, without a doubt, the most adored of the characters in the series. He and Perry Mattfeld share a lot of tv time. She adores her canine co-star.
