The first season of the anime was released on 9 July 2021. It was produced by ‘Coloured Pencil Animation Japan’, and famous production companies like NTT Solamre, Sotsu, Toei, and Bouncy collaborated together for this project. The first season of the anime has a total of 12 episodes and one special episode. The story of the anime is similar to that of the video game.
They follow the same events as per the game. The story centers around 7 brothers who live together. The final episode of Season 1 was released on 31 December 2021. Yeah, it was quite disheartening for all the anime lovers.
Soon after the completion of the first season, the audience started to ask for the second season. The people who have actually watched the first season might know that season 1 has covered half of the story that’s in the game. So will there even be a second season? The second season is premiering on July 3, 2022, at 1 pm in the Anime Expo Event, at Los Angeles Convention Center, and the Obey Me Boys will the special guests for the event. The main characters of the anime are Kazuya Yamashita as Lucifer, the firstborn, who is a perfectly flawless but sadist brother. Hirotaka Kobayashi as Mammon, the scummy second-born and the greedy one who needs all the money in the world. Satoshi Kada as Leviathan, the can’t-be-helped third born, the most handsome among the seven.
Shinya Sumi as Satan, the fourth-born brother. Miura Ayme as Asmodeus, the narcissist fifth born, the most adorable one. Kyohei Yaguchi as Beelzebub, the always famished sixth-born, The one who is always hungry. Kyohei Yaguchi as Beelzebub, the catnapping seventh-born, who is always ready to overload love.
Obey Me Season 1 Plot Summary
The story centers around seven brothers, jumping from one relationship to another without much interest in commitments. The seven of them are completely different from each other. The eldest and the strict one is Lucifer, and the second eldest and the troublemaker is Mammon. The seven of them are the most powerful demon in the Devildom. They serve as officers in the student council at the Royal Academy of Diavolo(RAD).
They are meaner, cruel, and feared by all the students in the RAD. But the unexpected entry of a RAD exchange student changes their lives completely. The female student comes to Devildom in the student exchange program. In order to encourage friendship between human and devils, they have signed a student exchange program, where two students from Devildom goes to earth and two chosen students from the earth come to Devildom.
For that particular year, she was selected for the program. She should stay there for one year and by the end of the year, she should write a paper regarding her stay in Devildom. Though it takes time for her to adjust, she gets used to the routine there. Soon she realizes that the 7 brothers are not actually mean, they are quite cheerful and loveable. As the days pass by, they get closer to each other.
