One of Hulu’s hidden gems is Ramy. The show is mostly about the family of Muslim American Ramy Hassan (Ramy Youssef), and it extensively explores how American culture has both benefited and harmed the family. Additionally, it looks at what it means to be a decent Muslim in the modern world. In particular, in Season 2, religion plays a significant part in this series. The second season of Ramy focused on Ramy’s unsuccessful attempts to improve himself through his religion.

After the Ramy Season 2 finale, we need to know if Hulu intends to continue the show. As the main character once more shows his aversion to development and change, Ramy finished the season on a depressing note. Ramy wasn’t alone in his struggle, either, as several members of the Hassan family continued to act badly.

The previous season came to a turbulent conclusion. He confessed to his new wife, who also happens to be his Sheikh’s and mentor’s daughter. If you recall, the night before the wedding, he had an affair with her with his cousin.

Ramy’s partner and her father leave as a result, with Ramy’s father yelling at his former student. Ramy is left with nowhere to go, especially given that his family is still unaware of the precarious situation of his marriage. With Ramy finally running across Dennis, the Iraqi veteran he made friends with earlier in the season, the show concludes on an ambiguous note.

There are some themes Youssef wishes to explore more in the third season of the Emmy-nominated show, though it’s still unclear where he plans to take it. Ramy might eventually accept his selfish and destructive tendencies in the upcoming season.

Ramy Hassan (Youssef), an Egyptian-American of the first generation, and his family are followed as they navigate spirituality in their politically divided New Jersey neighborhood. As it examines the difficulties of being caught between a religious group that views life as a moral test and a millennial, Ramy continues to bring a fresh perspective to the screen.

In the third season, Ramy all but gives up on his spiritual path and devotes himself to his and his uncle’s diamond business, which forces his family to face the life they have led that has been devoted to material concerns and, in some cases, falsehoods.
