American adult animated science fiction series Star Trek: Lower Decks was created by American television producer and writer Mike McMahan for the OTT platform CBS All Access which is later rebranded as Paramount+. It is the ninth series in the Star Trek franchise, which began in 2020. It is another universe by Alex Kurtzman and the first animated series since Star Trek: The Animated Series in 1970.
The lead characters are a low-rank support crew aboard the starship Cerritos in 2380. The series is based on the creator of Star Trek: The Original Series, American television producer and screenwriter Eugene Wesley Roddenberry Sr.’s action-adventure science fiction series Star Trek. The executive producers of the series are Rod Roddenberry, Mike McMahan, Alex Kurtzman, Heather Kadin, Katie Krentz, and Trevor Roth.
Consisting of ten episodes the series debuted on CBS All Access on August 6, 2020, until October 2020. The second season aired from August 12, 2021, to October 14, on Paramount+, and the third season was renewed in April 2021, ahead of the second season’s premiere. The third season premiered on August 25, 2022.
The creator of the series featured some very talented and knowing American stars in the voice cast. The cast includes Tawny Newsome, Fred Tatasciore, Dawnn Lewis, Jack Quaid, Gillian Vigman, Noël Wells, Jerry O’Connell, and Eugene Cordero. Lower Decks’ third season was confirmed last year and recording started in June. The script was finished by September and continued from where the previous season ended. The recording wrapped up in June this year. The show is linked to Star Trek series along with those who played lead roles or made guest appearances.

Directed by Michael Mullen and written by Garrick Bernard, the third season was released on September 1 titled The Least Dangerous Game, the third season titled Mining the Mind’s Mines, aired on September 8, this year which is written by Brian D.
Bradley and directed by Fill Marc Sagadraca, the fourth episode of the series directed by Jason Zurek, and written by John Cochran with the title Room for Growth released on September 15, this year. Since the makers renewed the series with 10 episodes, the six episodes are yet to be released. The makers have not revealed the release date for the rest of the 6 episodes, but it is confirmed that this season will conclude this year.
