Netflix ordered the series for one season with ten episodes on September 27, 2018, Norman Buckley was brought in to helm all the episodes and he was confirmed to be the co-executive producer. Principal photography for the show started in Covington, Georgia, on July 8, 2019. The first Season premiered on May 19, 2020. With ten episodes, Netflix renewed the series for a second season, and filming for the second season started from April 2021 to July 2021.
The following season was released on February 4, 2022. After that, Netflix again renewed the series for a third season on May 4, 2022, and filming for the third season started in July 2022.
