The Liberator premiered a long time ago. It’s been almost two years since the show was released on Netflix. It was marketed and released as a miniseries, so there are fewer possibilities for another season. However, we can expect it considering that the first season was loved by critics and audiences. For now, we can revisit the main premise.

It is set against the backdrop of the Second World War and the main character here is U.S. Army officer Felix Sparks. It also focuses on the 157th Infantry Regiment, who fought for 500 days along with the Allied forces in the Italian campaign. Felix was the leader of the members of the 157th Infantry Regiment of the 45th Infantry Division. They included white cowboys, Mexican Americans, and Native soldiers.

Sparks along with his soldiers went on a journey with a special group consisting of American soldiers from Italy to France for around 500 days. Their destination was the liberation of the Dachau concentration camp and they fought some intense battles, eventually being recognized as one of the best American combat units of the Second World War. The unit was the recipient of eight combat awards for their work in Italy, France, Germany, and Central Europe.

For now, we can be assured that the show will continue from where the first season ended. Towards the end of the latest episode, we saw that the Allies closed in on the desperate German forces, and the Thunderbirds were witness to the cruelty of the enemy.

Although it is an adult animated series, it is based on real-life events. This is a concept that has been rarely approached in the past. This is the reason the show managed to receive a decent response from everyone. It must be noted that adult animated shows have gained recognition over all these years. The main reason has been the storylines and brilliant voice cast that can connect well with the audience.

Netflix has been the home of the best shows. This also includes the segment on adult animation. The concept of The Liberator is unique compared to any other show that we have seen in the past. Moreover, it is also adapted from a book by Alex Kershaw, The Liberator: One World War II Soldier’s 500-Day Odyssey.

For now, there is no word regarding the renewal of another season and it is entirely dependent on the makers on what they are planning to do with the show.
