It was serialized online on Shosetsuka ni Naro, an online publishing website for novels from February 2019 to August 2021. It was taken over by Fujimi Shobo, who published the series in January 2020 under the imprint of Fujimi Fantasia Bunko. A manga adaptation was serialized in ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki Maoh in July 2020, and Yen Press in North America licensed the light novel and manga. The anime adaptation by Diomedea is scheduled to release in January 2023.
The light novel received a decent response and was rated 8 out of 10 by Anime UK News. They said that it could balance things between light-hearted and emotional elements. According to the Spring Light Novel Guide of Anime News Network, it has a touch of girls’ attraction towards each other, making the romance proceedings slow.
