Walker: Independence Plot
Abby Walker, a wealthy and independent-minded Bostonian, watches as her husband is brutally killed on their way West in the late 1800s in “Walker: Independence.” Abby meets Calian, an inquisitive Apache tracker. She travels to Independence, Texas, where she meets a wide range of characters on the run from their pasts, pursuing their dreams and keeping their secrets.
These characters include Kate Carver, an eccentric burlesque dancer who takes an unusually keen interest in Abby’s background, and Kai, a soulful Chinese immigrant who runs the local restaurant/laundry and offers Abby friendship without ulterior motives. Hoyt Rawlins, a slick rogue, robber, and con artist with a battered heart of gold, eyes Abby as a mark until she turns the tables on him. Abby meets the heroic Independence Deputy Sheriff Augustus and the evil Sheriff Tom Davidson on her quest for justice for her husband.
Eventually, Abby and Hoyt find themselves in an uneasy alliance; they both want to defend Independence, a frontier boomtown where “nothing is as it seems,” and they want to find out who killed Abby’s husband.
Walker: Independence Cast
Katherine Mcnamara plays the role of Abby Walker. Prominent roles include Mia Smoak in the Arrowverse and Shadowhunters. You can also look out for Brandon Slender as Liam and Katie Findlay as Kate. Matt Barr (Blood and Treasure) will be playing the role of Hoyt Rawlins.
Other names like Calian, Kai, Tom Davidson, Augustus, and Lucia Montero will likely pop up often. Talented casts will only provide the best performances. CBS Studios’ Walker: Independence features a teleplay by Seamus Kevin Fahey based on a story by Fahey and Anna Fricke.
