The amount of new content released by Netflix in the previous week is astounding. Among these is Warrior Nun, a fantasy drama series whose second season premiered on November 10 and quickly rose to the top of the streaming service’s popularity rankings. The third season’s release date has fans clamoring for more information. While we wait for official word, we’ve put up a list of everything we hope would be included in the third season. Warrior Nun Season 3 Release Date
We anticipate that Warrior Nun Season 3 will be streamable on Netflix much like the first two seasons. The protagonist of Warrior Nun is Ava Silva, a paraplegic orphan who miraculously resurrects from the dead. But now she can walk, and perhaps more importantly, she has extraordinary abilities. Because of these abilities and the need they serve, she has no choice but to join an ancient order of… warrior nuns who battle demons on Earth, known as the Order of the Cruciform Sword. Ava must learn to live as a warrior nun to prevent her and the Order’s secrets from falling into the wrong hands after they become the target of great forces in Heaven, on Earth, and in Hell.
Simon Barry, the creator of Warrior Nun, revealed in an interview with Inverse published after the first season aired that the show was originally intended for a film adaptation. There was just too much story for just a movie,” he said when asked why he thinks the story is better suited for a television program rather than a movie. The background of the warrior nuns and the Order of the Cruciform Sword is too lengthy to be recounted here.
Only in a television program would we have the space to not only introduce the world and the public to this hidden cult but also to explain the story of how it came to be. It’s difficult to predict what will happen in Season 3 because the show is not a faithful copy of the comics. The early comics, for all their lady might, were sexist in their depiction of these fierce women of religion as martial artists in bikinis or loincloths.
Warrior Nun Season 3 Cast
The series is narrated and portrayed by Alba Baptista, a 25-year-old Portuguese actress. At the age of 16, Baptista made her professional acting debut in Simo Cayatte’s short film Miami, for which she was later honored with the Best Actress Award at the Festival Ibérico de Ciné. She has become quite famous in her own country of Portugal thanks to her roles in a number of films and three television shows.
Having acted in a number of films and three television shows, she has achieved considerable fame in her home country of Portugal. Her English-language debut is in Warrior Nun, and she was most recently seen in the supporting role of Natasha in the historical comedy-drama film Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris. Potentially new viewers of Warrior Nun will recognize her as the woman alleged to be dating Chris Evans.
The rising prominence of Sister Lilith during Season 2 suggests that British actress Lorena Andrea may return to the role. Sister Beatrice, played by Kristina Tonteri-Young, is expected to return since the creators have teased a romantic interest between her and Ava. Also returning are Toya Turner as Shotgun Mary, Thekla Reuten as Jillian Salvius, Tristán Ulloa as Father Vincent, and Sylvia De Fanti as Mother Superior.
