Are you a big lover of rom-com thrillers and looking for a tv series to watch? The new show ‘Wedding Season’ has it all covered! Created by Oliver Lyttelton, the show talks about Stefan and Katie who become infatuated at a wedding and start an affair, despite the fact that Katie already has a fiancé. Two months later, both Stefan and Katie appear to be involved in the murder of the new husband and his family. While the police think Stefan did it, he assumes Katie did it, but no one can surely say what must have occurred.
The screenplay for the action comedy was done by Oliver Lyttelton, and the show is directed by George Kane. The production team includes Chris Carey, Laurence Bowen, Toby Bruce, Brooke Posch, Lilly Burns, Tony Hernandez, and Johanna Devereaux are the executive producers.

Wedding Season Storyline
It all starts when Stefan, a young doctor, intervenes at Katie’s wedding in order to convince her to not marry her to-be-husband but is rejected to his dismay. Later, at the wedding, her new husband and his entire family are murdered. We then see Stefan being interrogated by the police regarding Katie’s disappearance since her wedding night. The police think Stefan is behind all of it, but he thinks it’s Katie.

The lead couple Stefan and Katie, are played by Rosa Salazar (‘Undone’) and Gavin Drea (‘Valerian’). Along with Ivan Kaye as Mr. Delaney, Jamie Michie (‘Back to Life’) plays DI Donahue, Jade Harrison (‘The Stranger’) plays DCI Metts, and George Webster (‘Finding Alice’) plays Hugo Delaney. The series also features key roles for Callie Cooke (‘Britannia’), Bhav Joshi (‘Vigil’), Ioanna Kimbrook (‘Inside No. 9’), and Omar Baroud (‘Baptize’).
Katie and Stefan embark upon a dangerous journey to prove their innocence so they can return to their normal lives again. But how they accomplish it and succeed at finding the real murderer is the main question answered in the show. It’s an action-filled adventure set across the United Kingdom and the United States as Katie and Stefan go into hiding after they’re accused of murder and figure out the real culprit behind it all.
Wedding Season Episode Guide
Episode 1 (September 8, 2022) After crashing Katie’s wedding, Stefan had to face rejection due to his one-sided proposal to her. A few hours later, he was questioned about the sudden death of the Delaneys and Katie’s disappearance. Upon the accusation of murder on the wedding day of the woman he loves, Stefan looks back to how he and the woman met. In the end, we see Katie rescuing him.
Episode 2 (September 8, 2022) As Katie and Stefan head to Edinburgh to meet with Fred, Stefan grows suspicious and tries to convince Katie that he is not to be trusted and the two manage to escape. Later in the flashback, we see Stefan accidentally crashing Katie’s engagement party and pretending to be friends.
Episode 3 (September 8, 2022) As Stefan and Katie head toward the diner, the two run for their lives from the men who were chasing them. Next in the flashback, we see Stephan discovering Katie’s suspicious act.
Episode 4 (September 8, 2022) Stefan and Katie are cross-questioned by their abductor, who turns out to be Katie’s ex-husband. He reveals his intentions regarding giving them to Block, a criminal group, in order to regain the group’s trust. The abductor also interrogates them about Katie’s bachelorette party in Las Vegas.
Episode 5 (September 8, 2022) The police again arrest Stefan and are represented by his friend Leila in custody. A flashback to Anil and Leila’s wedding is shown where he mentioned being kidnapped by Hugo and his bodyguard. Before managing to run away, he overheard Katie telling Hugo over the phone that Stefan is obsessed with her.
Episode 6 (September 8, 2022) Katies goes to London in order to seek answers. In the past we see Katie’s father being brutally stabbed at his wedding after being threatened with signing some papers outside their pub. In the present, Donahue manages to rescue Stefan, but can’t arrest Metts. There is an upcoming wedding in Texas intended to tie the Block to the Texas mob, and Katie visits her wedding designer Vince, who suspects that the Block backed the Delaneys for years but may have killed them.
Episode 7 (September 8, 2022) Stefan and Katie manage to infiltrate the Texas wedding. Metts tells Stefan that Hugo’s father had received a double dose of poison because Katie really had planned to poison him at the wedding in revenge for his role in her father’s death. Stefan is aghast that Katie lied to him about her innocence. An emotional Katie kidnaps the bride, steals the deed to the building the Delaneys built over her father’s pub, and drives away.
Episode 8 (September 8, 2022) Metts and Stefan follow Katie and force her to give up Mitzi. Donahue shoots Metts. Stefan successfully uploads Metts’s confession, which results in the building belonging to Katie. The episode ends with a cliffhanger of an event that leads to uncertainty in Katie’s faith.
Wedding Season Trailer
The official trailer for the wedding season was released on August 11, 2022. The trailer opens with Stefan screaming, “I object,”. Moments later, he learns Katie’s new in-laws were poisoned. After Katie and Stefan meet, the story flips through a number of weddings taking place, with Katie and Stefan attending each one. The trailer then takes a turn at the end that makes it seem like Katie and Stefan may be on the run. Who is responsible for the murder of the Delany family? You must watch it to find out!
