Brotherhood (also known as Irmandade) is a Brazilian crime-drama web series which was first premiered on October 25th, 2019. This famous Netflix show is back again with its gripping and thrilling storyline.
The story of Brotherhood revolves around the lives of two siblings who are at the two ends of the spectrum for the status of law. The story is set against the background of the mid 90’s Sao Paulo and shows how situations get complicated and more convoluted as the siblings meet after 20 years. The show is loved by its viewers because of its deep-rooted action and power-packed scenes.
Brotherhood Plot
Based in the environment of the mid 90’s San Paulo, Cristina Ferreira, a diligent and hard-working lawyer, works relentlessly for the people in order to bring them justice and ensure fair treatment for all. Things take a turn when she gets to know from some sources that her long-lost brother whom she has not met in the last 20 years has some dirt on him, hence, she meets her brother after twenty long years when he stands in front of her as an inmate.
Her brother, Edson Ferreira, heads this underworld criminal faction known as the “Brotherhood”. Since she is sister to a wanted criminal head now, the police interrogate her too on his whereabouts, and is forced by the police to extract information on the underground world and more news on her brother.
Hence, Cristina is then sent as an undercover infiltrator in order to catch and expose her brother which leads her to a path of all sorts of risks and dangers. As she slowly starts to talk, understand and make a closer bond with her brother, she begins to question all the morals and so-called disciplined principles she has been adhering to all her life.
Brotherhood Season 2 Recap
The season starts with Cristina meeting her inmate brother after 20 years and the story starts as she starts talking to her brother since their father called upon the police for drug usage.
She has been forcefully sent by the police to win over her brother’s trust and then extract more information on the underground world and act as a spy. She slowly discovers all the illegal work and dangers her brother has been dealing with. Cristina manages to gain the trust of the gang who now sees her as their new member.
The season ends with a lot of violence and action and we see Cristina escapes at the end by a gunshot ending the season on a cliffhanger.
Brotherhood Season 3 Release Date
Netflix’s thriller Brotherhood has been a huge hit globally and fans cannot keep calm ever since the announcement of season 2 was made. However, there has been no further word officially on the situation for Brotherhood Season 3 yet. Season 2 was resumed from the end of season 1 which ended on a cliffhanger note so we have to check how Season 2 ends to make assumptions on the status of season 3.
