Dark Winds Season 2 Release Date
The first season of the drama was recently released on June 12, 2022. It has six episodes with a running time of around 50 minutes each. The story centers around two police officials who take up a complicated case of a killer who committed double murders. The case gets worst when they start questioning their own beliefs. So far only two episodes have been released, The final episode of season 1 will be aired on July 17, 2022.

Dark Winds Season 1 Plot Summary
The story sets in the 1970s and centers on Navajo police officials Joe Leaphorn and Jim Chee. They live in the remote outpost of the Navajo Nation. Lt Joe Leaphorn is known for solving even complicated crimes, and the new double murder case was supposed to be one among them. But little did he know the depth of this case. As soon as he started investigating this case, Lt Jim Chee joins him to solve it. But the more he opens the case, the more he opens his own wounds from the past.
The story begins when two robbers rob a helicopter and flies away, and the incident is witnessed by an old man, Tso. Three weeks late, Tso is found dead in the motel room along with his Anna Attcity, the granddaughter of the Medicine Woman who he sees for this investigation. He has a past connection with Anna, which he hides from his colleagues. As he keeps solving the puzzle, Jim Chee’s superior who put him in this case informed him about a Navajo radical group called Buffalo Society. They are responsible for the robbery of the helicopter.
The superior asks Jim Chee to use Tso’s murder case as a cover-up and investigate more about the Buffalo Society. But the case gets more complicated when Joe finds the robbed helicopter on Tso’s property under contaminated water, and the worst part is he finds a dead body inside the helicopter.
Coming to the flashback of Anna and Joe Leaphorn, Leaphorn’s son, Joe Jr has dater Anna. Joe Jr worked at an oil drilling site with Anna’s father, Guy. One day, the guy got to know from one of his friends that something wrong is going to happen at the work site. Guy trusts his friend’s intuition and asks other workers not to go to the site, but he didn’t ask Joe Jr. Unaware of the dangerous situation, Joe Jr goes to the site and dies in the explosion at the drilling site.
When Leaphorn gets to know about this, he confronts Guy and in the heat of the argument, he shoots Guy in the leg. Back to the present day, Joe finds out that Jim is an FBI agent as well, so he asks him to work on the double murder case. With Jim’s help, he gets to know that Anna was scared to death. Whose dead body is inside the helicopter? Will Joe be able to find the murderer of Anna and Tso? Does the Buffalo Society have anything to do with these two murders? Well, we have to wait patiently for the next episode.
Just reading itself gives us goosebumps to imagine watching it! And we can expect a lot more suspense in Dark Winds Season 2.
