This captivating Sci-Fi drama follows Class 3-2 (3rd grade, 2nd class) at Sundong High School, which was similar to any other in the school. The students’ lives were quite average. Some were preoccupied with love impulses for other classmates, others preoccupied with picking on weaker groups, and others preoccupied with the university entrance examinations that would define their futures. Their lives will be turned upside down as mysterious purple orbs descend from the sky like lightning bolts. These resemble the pods that delivered the aliens to Earth, and if left unchecked, they can potentially wipe out entire cities.

After facing numerous attacks from these strange aliens, the South Korean army couldn’t take it any longer and began enrolling those beyond the secondary school level. Driven into military training, the 3-2 class is now expected to pick up weaponry daily after school to face these exceedingly dangerous extraterrestrial species. The government assures them that they will not be in danger and grants extra university points to those who perform well in this service, leaving them with no choice but to reluctantly take the roles of South Korean defenders.

These innocent souls, believing they will live to see another day, will shortly endure military training under the careful eyes of Platoon Leader Lee Choon Ho and Sergeant Kim Won Bin. They will subsequently be placed on potentially lethal missions where even one error could lead to the class’s demise. In this case, what will Class 3-2 do? What is the enigma of the odd aliens and purple orbs that have begun to fall from the sky? And the answer would be deliberately on the next episode.

Even though the premise implies that the show is about the entire class, only a few characters receive considerable screen time. Platoon Leader Lee Choon Ho (Shin Hyun Soo) teaches the trainees various skills to prepare them for the impending disaster. The South Korean actor started in musicals before breaking out with the 2015 drama Remember: War of the Son. However, his breakthrough part came in the 2018 popular drama Twelve Nights, in which he played the important character Cha Hyun Oh.

Kim Ki Hae and Im Se Mi will portray the supporting leads, Kim Chi Yeol and Park Eun Young, respectively. The former debuted in the Wooliim Entertainment serial Dalgona in 2020, and she then participated in the film The Witch: Part 2, The Other One. Interestingly, Responsibility After School is his first series in which he is the main character. Im Se Mi, on the other hand, is a seasoned actress with significant roles such as Lim Hee Gyung in True Beauty, Yoo Ji Yun in Terius Behind Me, and Yoon Seung Hye in Love on a Rooftop.

While these three characters will play important parts in the new series, here is a peek at the supporting cast: Choi Moon Hee, Kim Su Gyeom, Lee Yeon, Kwon Eun Bin, Moon Sang Min, Woo Min Gyu, Kim Min Chul, Kim So Hee, Ahn Do Kyu, Shin Hye Ji, Noh Jong Hyun, and others.
