Gangsta Season 3 Release Date, Plot, Cast And More

Gangsta Season 3: Many people, including myself, had the impression that “Gangsta” would be much like “Black Lagoon” when it was originally released because of the song’s infectious hook. The name alone suggests a criminal theme, while the word “gangster” suggests a particular subgenre of crime fiction. If you boil it down to its barest essentials, the show is about two guys dealing with criminals in a city full of them.

Though it sounds mundane, there’s more to it than meets the ear. Things start to get tricky when the characters get involved in something out of the ordinary and larger than their typical business. The intensity of the anime increases from here on out. But then, does it live up to the hype, or does it join the other crime anime in the “generic” category? So, let’s find out.

Gangsta Season 3 Release Date

The first season of Gangsta premiered on July 2, 2015, and ran for 12 episodes until its conclusion on September 24, 2015. Since the first season came out, the source material’s creator has been on sporadic long-term hiatuses due to a reoccurring sickness, making the likelihood of a second season much lower. A few years ago, the studio called Manglobe, which animated the first season, declared bankruptcy.

Because of this, even if the author succeeds in penning additional chapters of the manga, the same studio will not be responsible for animating the next season. Given that the show’s animation is a major selling point, this could be a huge gamble. The estimated 2021 or 2022 premiere of “Gangsta” season 2 is starting to feel like a pipe dream. Hopefully, at the absolute least, we will get more of the manga, if not the entire anime, but, to be quite honest, the chances of either seem minimal at this time.

Gangsta Season 3 Plot

The plot of Gangsta centres on the exploits of two mercenaries, Nicholas Brown and Worick Arcangelo. The citizens of Ergastalum refer to them as “Handymen” because they complete the tasks that no one else in the city is prepared to do. They are the go-to people for everyone, from top politicians to top cops, so they need to be flexible and ready to take on any task at any moment. Eventually, the two Handymen run into a local prostitute named Alex Benedetto, who has been marked for death. The two men take her in as a team member to ensure she is safe from harm.

But they have no idea that the city they have been serving for so long is experiencing a massive upheaval that threatens the delicate power balance that has kept the city stable until now. Once upon a time, Nick and other “Twilights” like him had a relatively secure living environment in the city. Still, today, an underground organisation is hunting for these superhumans to put a stop to them.

The city has been holding on for dear life until now, but the oncoming storm threatens to wipe out everything it stands for. The Handymen will now have to face an issue much larger than any of their prior cases, and the only way they will survive is by going all out in this conflict.

The two main characters, Benriya, are related. They’ve known one other for nearly their entire lives. They are so close for a reason that will become clear in a moment. Three people make up the Benaroya. Benriya’s main man, Arcangelo Worick, is Benriya.

To keep Nicolas, Benriya’s formidable companion, in control, Worick is the only one who can do it. His weakness belies his strength as a master tactician who can overcome any challenge. There has been another Benriya, and his name is Nicholas Brown.

For this group, Nic is the one who holds everything together. The full extent of his amazing power is still largely unknown. We only know his codename, “Twilight,” and that he takes a special drug to give him extraordinary power. Further, he has a disability, which is rarely seen in anime. Nicholas is hard of hearing, yet Gangsta still holds him in high regard. Anime protagonists with disabilities are rare, but Manglobe did a fantastic job showing Nicolas’s condition, and most of the people he met with knew about it beforehand.

To communicate with him, some people studied sign language. But this doesn’t mean he can’t talk; he can, and when he does, you’ll be speechless if you express amazement at his words. The best way to learn this is through personal experience.

As the third and final Benriya, Alex Benedetto rounds off the family. Former prostitute saved by two Benriya. Currently, she serves as their secretary. It’s hard to find flaws in the overall performance of the anime’s actors. It’s fun to keep up with even small characters. Yet, Alex is the anime’s worst drawback. She’s Gangsta’s weakest link, and it’s not apparent that she wants to change.
