The anime series ‘Kengan Ashura,’ based on the manga series of the same name by writer Yabako Sandrovich and illustrator Daromeon, is set in an alternate world where deals are made and disputes are settled not through meetings and agreements but through gladiator fights between respective champions in massive arenas. All of this began several centuries ago, during Japan’s Edo period, and has since become one of the world’s most popular forms of entertainment.
The plot revolves around Tokita “Ashura” Ohma, who is recruited by the Nogi Group’s CEO, Hideki Noki, after defeating a Nogi Group fighter in a street fight. Ashura later teams up with salaryman Yamashita Kazuo, who becomes his manager. They navigate the brutal and perilous world of gladiator combat together. Kengan Ashura Season 2 Release Date
Season 2 of ‘Kengan Ashura’ premiered on Netflix worldwide on October 31, 2019. It consists of 12 half-hour episodes.
In terms of Season 3, Netflix has yet to make an official announcement. The COVID situation impacted its production, as it did almost every other entertainment project. Season 3 will most likely be based on the sequel manga series ‘Kengan Omega,’ the first issue of which was published in January 2019. Season 3 of ‘Kengan Ashura’ is currently scheduled for release in mid-2021.
Kengan Ashura Season 2 Storyline
Ohma faces Raian, a brutal assassin from the Kure Clan, in the season 2 finale. Ohma has a vision in which his mentor and adoptive father, Niko Tokita, visits him and encourages him to grow stronger without relying on Advance. Ultimately, Ohma triumphs by employing Niko’s style. It irritates Kiryu, who has always believed that Ohma will one day become a god of disaster. Karla appears and removes her clothes, demanding that Ohma marry her because he has defeated Raian. Ohma consoles Kazuo at the end of the episode by saying that a man should not cry.
Season 2 of ‘Kengan Ashura’ concludes with Ohma defeating Raian in round 2 of the Kengan Annihilation Tournament. Season 3 may cover the remainder of the tournament. If season 3 is based on ‘Kengan Omega,’ which begins two years after the tournament, two new protagonists, Narushima Koga and Gaoh Ryuki may appear.

Lihito is voiced by Hayato Kaneko (Japanese) and Jonah Scott (English).
