Next Level Chef Season 2 Format
The main competition is between 15 chefs in a lineup of different challenges. They are split into three teams and they are guided by Ramsay, Arrington, and Blais. The chefs are asked to cook in a kitchen and the top level features the best tools and devices followed by the middle and bottom levels, where the former is a normal kitchen and the latter has limited equipment.
The chefs are first to be split into three groups of five members and they are given a random mentor and kitchen. Considering the dishes, the mentors choose one chef for their team and they are then assigned to their respective kitchens.
A platform with all the ingredients is presented before each challenge and the items must be collected in 30 seconds, followed by the cooking process, which must be completed in 45 minutes.
The one chef whose dish comes out as the best gets immunity from elimination. The mentors then choose anyone for a 30-minute challenge at the top level. The ingredient platform is kept in front of the chefs throughout the challenge, and while the winning team’s mentor gives his opinions, the team members also get a chance to give some advice. The remaining mentors choose one chef to be removed, and if there is a disagreement, the winning team’s mentor offers a vote that breaks the tie.
