There is bad news for the fans of Nichijou. The makers of Nichijou have not renewed the show for a second season and have also announced that Nichijou is not returning for a new season. So there will be no new season of Nichijou.
Nichijou Season 2 Storyline
Nichijou was one of the most popular animes and aired in 2011. It aired for 26 episodes from April 3, 2011, to September 25, 2011. This was one season, but it has been almost 10 years, and even though the anime was loved by the audiences, there are no updates about a second season. However, audiences are still waiting for another season, although it ended a long time ago with just one season remaining.

The professor tries to build a new one before Nano returns from school, and at the school, the Principal finds his statue being replaced with that of the Vice-Principal. The whole scheme is revealed when the movers disclose that they have the Principal’s statue and they don’t like the Vice-Principal’s statue.
While Yuuko ignores a lot of accidents with her friends, she tells Nano that she along with Mai and Mio, would come to her home as a surprise party is being planned, and Ms. Nakamura discovers her pet cat Taisho, who is Sakamoto. Sakamoto is terrified to find his old owner because of how badly she looked after her and escapes as Nakamura asks Nano to find and bring back Taisho if she finds him.
When Nano comes back, the Professor removes Nano’s wind-up key and reveals that anyone except Nano can remove the key. The trio arrives and decides to keep the wind-up key after understanding that she is living a normal life and no one cares that she is a robot.
While everyone is busy celebrating Nano’s birthday, Nano realizes that the small wind-up key was an extra which made her wind-up key spin when she is happy. Although the excited professor destroyed both the birthday cakes, everyone enjoyed their time at the party and the key spins.
There are a lot of things that we might get to see in Season 2, but we cannot be sure about anything that could happen. There are no discussions yet about the second season on news portals or among those who were a part of it, so we cannot expect a second season for now.
