Orange Is the New Black Season 8 – Important Updates

This incredibly famous American comedic satirical drama recounts the narrative of Piper Chapman, who is imprisoned and must adapt with prison- and many types of convicts. Disputes erupt, love blossoms, and friendships are formed.

Good protagonists, wonderful plot, and excellent execution, the show has it all. Even after seven seasons, it remains among the most beloved shows.

The show Orange Is the New Black has garnered a lot of positive feedback from fans. Orange Is the New Black’s seventh season was revealed as the series’ last season. Despite the ending, fans can’t help but wonder whether there will be a season 8.

In season 5, after MCC’s failure to handle an inmate’s death at the hands of a guard in the fourth season, the convicts revolted against the guards, wardens, and administration. The inmate died as a result of a nonviolent protest and the following incitement of an inmate fight by another officer.

The riot’s aftermath is depicted in season 6. Several offenders, including Chapman and Vause, are sent to Litchfield Maximum Security. The majority of these detainees are being investigated, prosecuted, and punished for their role in the incident.

It also demonstrates how some convicts are able to advance beyond their time in jail, whilst others remain ensnared by the system and are unable to progress due to faults and systemic problems in the structure of US society and its judicial system.

The seventh season concludes the stories of many convicts. Chapman and Vause’s on-again, off-again romance continues.

The season depicts how some convicts are able to advance beyond their time in jail, whilst others are ensnared by the system and are unable to develop due to their personal defects and/or systemic problems in the structure of US society and its judicial system.

In addition to the defined set of Litchfield Max, a significant portion of the season takes place in a newly established ICE detention facility for imprisoned (presumed) illegal immigrants, demonstrating their hardships and inaccessibility to outside assistance, attributing in large part to complete or extreme disregard for the law.

Unfortunately, Netflix has announced that season seven will be the final season, and hence there will be no Orange is the New Black season 8. Fans were forewarned since there is already a satisfactory conclusion in Orange Is the New Black season 7.

Jenji Kohan, the creator of this fantastic TV show, confessed that there is no complicated explanation for the cancellation of Orange Is the New Black season 8. It’s simply because she chose to discontinue the program after seven seasons—a choice supported by Netflix—and that’s what they did.

Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling), a woman in her thirties living in New York City, is sentenced to 15 months in Litchfield Penitentiary, a minimum-security women’s federal prison in upstate New York, at the start of the series. Chapman was convicted of transferring a bag full of drug money for her lover, international drug dealer Alex Vause (Laura Prepon).

The crime had occurred ten years before the start of the series, and Chapman had since gone on to a tranquil, law-abiding existence among New York’s upper-middle class. Her surprise indictment upends her ties with her fiancé, family, and friends. Chapman is reunited with Vause in jail (who named Chapman in her trial, culminating in her incarceration), and the two re-examine their friendship.

Throughout, it is demonstrated how numerous indictable offenses, budget cuts by the corporate owner to boost profits by millions, privatization of prison, congestion, guard brutality and ruthlessness, and racial prejudice (among other issues) impact the prisoners’ safety, health, and well-being; the lives of correctional officers; and the prison’s basic incapability to fulfill its foundational legal and moral obligations as a correctional facility institution. We believe that, if by any chance, a season 8 is announced, this is what it will cover.
