Ingrid Yun, a first-generation Korean-American, practices mergers and acquisitions at a prestigious Manhattan law firm with outdated views on diversity and inclusion. According to Cho, author Helen Wan was motivated to write The Partner Track by “her experiences and things she observed in an actual law office” during her own decades-long legal career, which serves as the basis for the show.
