Sex Education Season 3 has been proved to be one of the most watched, most enjoyed, and most loved shows made in 2021. The show broke the charts with the range of topics it covered and the kind of show it became from a simplistic show to this phenomenal idea of teens showing the world the importance of Sex Education. The show has constantly provided laughter, drama, and love to us in eight episodes per season.
Sex Education Season 3 also had eight episodes. The season finale was one of the best and worst episodes. So many cliffhangers were left and so many loopholes were mended. As a result of so much chaos and drama, fans loved the season finale. Here is an explanation of all that happened in the last episode of the third season.
Sex Education Season 3 Ending Explained
There were so many things happening in the finale of Sex Education. We will tell you one by one what happened. Let’s start with the focal point of all of this, Moordale High. One of the major cliffhangers was dropped in the finale. Because of everything that has happened in Moordale from Chlamydia Outbreak to Raunchy Musicals, the school board has decided to shut Moordale High down and students are asked to complete their education elsewhere. We will see more of this in the subsequent season.
Let’s talk about Cal and Jackson. One of the most adored but very secretive relationships in the show has been between Cal and Jackson. The two are genuinely attracted to each other, though, and Cal tries to give Jackson the time needed to get used to dating someone who’s nonbinary. However, after things got weird during a makeout session. In the end, Cal tells Jackson that we should just go back to being friends.
Jean Milburn has a baby girl. Jean has decided to name her Joy. The shocker though is that, what everybody was thinking, was wrong. Jakob is not the father of Jean’s daughter. This gets way intense because they never tell us who the father is. Can it be Remi? The ex-husband. Or is it Dave? Way back in Season 1 we saw Dave on the motorcycle. This is one of the most anticipated mysteries about the show.
When talking about Sex Education Season 3, let’s not forget about the pair who carried the show, Otis and Maeve. My god, the amount of ambiguity created around them is heartbreaking. But, Maeve and Otis did come to terms with their feelings for each other after Isaac admitted to listening to and then deleting Otis’ Season 2 voicemail to her. They kissed. But here is the worst part. Maeve has left for the United States for a summer program that she got. This is amazing for her. She will be back in the fourth season for sure. But there is no telling if they will date.
Sex Education Season 3 finale had one more worst part. The part that everybody dreaded. In an intense heartbreaking conversation, Eric and Adam break up. While a rainbow draws behind the bridge and it plays “I get along without you very well by Chet Baker” Adam walks away on his bike. This is the saddest part may be in Sex Education Season 3.
