The famous drama, Lincoln Lawyer hit the big screen about a decade ago and now the fans can enjoy the saga unfold again in all its details through the original series adaptation by Netflix. The Lincoln Lawyer is based on Michael Connelly’s popular crime drama book of the same name.
The Lincoln Lawyer Plot
The story follows that of the scrappy defense attorney of Los Angeles, Mickey Haller, who does all his legal work out of his Lincoln Town Car. Things take a turn when his colleague is murdered and as a result, leaves behind his casework to Haller, it pulls Haller into a full maze of conspiracies all revolving around one high-profile murder case and gets as convoluted and intricately messed up as it can, but if anyone can solve it, it is definitely Mickey Haller.
The first season is based on Connelly’s Brass Verdict where Haller is still in recovery and trying to get over all the wounds and scabs from the events of the previous novel, he is also trying to recover from his side by side addiction to painkillers. The murder of his old friend pulls him back to his profession when he takes on his case ad discovers the high-profile murder trial of Walter Elliott for the murders of his wife and her German boyfriend. Halter denies seeking any delay of the trial scheduled to begin in nine days.
At the same time, Vincent’s murder is being investigated too by Harry Bosch who fears that Vincent’s murderer might see Haller as his next target to kill. Haller brushes that off.
Haller works on the case of Patrick who used to be a surfing champion but after one surfing accident got addicted to pills which lead him to steal diamond jewelry. Since Haller could relate to him owing to his own history of substance abuse he felt piteous and bad for Patrick and hired him as his driver for Lincoln. He planned to clear Patrick’s name by presenting his genuine intentions of not stealing.
Everything about The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2
Since the first season has just hit the small screen it is hard to say anything about the renewal of the show judging by its small termed reception, but if it continues to get a good audience and positive critics since the novel is still in writing to chances of another season would be quite high.
As of now, there has been no word on the show’s renewal by any official sources so the word on season 2 of the Lincoln Lawyer is still quite dicey.
