Created by David DiGilio, The Terminal List Season 2 is an American action-conspiracy-thriller-drama television series based on the same-name novel by Jack Carr. The show focuses on Lieutenant Commander James Reece when his platoon of Navy SEALs gets killed on a covert mission. Reece returns to his family with bad memories of the entire event and questions himself repeatedly.
While some new evidence comes to light, Reece finds some dark forces going against him, which brings danger to his life along with his close ones. DiGilio is also the executive producer of the series along with Chris Pratt, Antoine Fuqua, Jon Schumacher, David Auge, Jack Carr, and Daniel Shattuck, and Kat Samick, Ronald Cosmo Vecchiarelli, and Max Adams are the producers.
Production for the series began on March 9, 2021, which was premiered on July 1, 2022, to mixed reviews. Currently, The Terminal List holds an approval rating of 39% on Rotten Tomatoes, and Metacritic gave the series a weighted average score of 40 out of 100. The series has a total of eight episodes, and each episode takes a 51–65 minute runtime.
It was reported in April 2020 that the show was developing and searching for a distributor. Amazon Prime Video and Amazon Studios joined for production in May 2020, and the show began hiring a team of writers. Well-known faces like Taylor Kitsch, Constance Wu, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Riley Keough, and Patrick Schwarzenegger joined the lead cast in 2021. A few more actors like Tom Amandes, LaMonica Garrett, Catherine Dyer, Remi Adeleke, and a few more were brought in to play recurring roles. Jai Courtney was also cast to play an important role in July 2021.
