A distinguished celebrity panel of judges, including Vanessa Simmons, Lauren Lake, Kandi Burruss, Carla Hall, Mikki Taylor, Lisa Price, Rakia Reynolds, Angela Benton, and Robin Wilson, will hear presentations from three new female entrepreneurs each week in the “Queen Boss Conference Room.” The judges put each of the impressive female entrepreneurs to the test to determine who has the best product, passion, and potential to win the competition.
This is how it goes: There are two distinct rounds of competition in each episode of the show. Three of the competing entrepreneurs present their individual products to the judges in the first round, who then decide which of the three to remove from the competition after consulting with the host. The last two entrepreneurs are put to the ultimate test in round two when they compete against one another in a business challenge. The business challenge sends the women out of the boardroom and onto the streets of New York City to see if they can convince the judges that they have the drive, creativity, and brains necessary to succeed.
The challenges include giving the best elevator pitch, out-trading the local professionals in the SoHo flea market scene, and creating a viral marketing campaign on social media. The judges narrow the field and ultimately choose one woman to win the top prize of $25,000 in “Queen Boss Start-Up Fund” to launch her business as well as the title of “Queen Boss” as the six winners return for episodes of the semifinal and final rounds.
