‘Ya Boy Kongming’ is the anime adaptation of the Japanese manga ‘Ya Boy Kongming’ written by Yuto Yotsuba and illustrated by Ryo Ogawa. The manga series was issued in many magazines like Kodansha’s Comic Days website from 2019-2021, then in Weekly Young Magazine. It has 9 volumes in total. The anime adaptation is by P.A, Works.
Ya Boy Kongming Season 2 Release Date
The first season of the comedy anime ‘Ya Boy Kongming’ was released on April 5, 2022, with a total of 12 episodes. It was written by Yoko Yonaiyama and directed by Shu Honma. The story is about a famous military strategist who promises to take birth again on his deathbed and takes rebirth as an ordinary guy in his second life. The final episode of season 1 was released on June 21, 2022. After the release of the first season, the audience got really excited for season 2. But so far the creators have not made any updates or given any hints regarding season 2.
The final episode was released just last month and the creators might be making up their minds regarding the second season. Whatever it is we have to give them some time to decide on things. Ya Boy Kongming Season 2 Cast And Characters
The main characters are:
- Eiko Tsukimi, voiced by Kaede Hondo, and 96neko (singing voice). She is the protagonist of the anime, who has made her debut as a singer and is aspiring to become a famous singer someday.
- Zhuge Kongming is voiced by Ryōtarō Okiayu. He is the brilliant and smart military strategist who took rebirth in modern Japan as his younger self. He coincidently meets Eiko on Halloween during her singing performance. Later he gets to know more about her and decides to be her strategy. He promises that he would help her to realize her dreams.
- Kabetaijin is voiced by Shōya Chiba. His original name is Taijin Kawabe, he is a young rapper who is the champion in the MC rap contest “DRB” for three consecutive years. But later he leaves rapping because he couldn’t stand the pressure, and he completely lost rapping because of the stomach ulcers which made him lose in the MC duel battle.
- Nanami Kuon is voiced by Hibiku Yamamura, Lezel (singing voice). She is Azalea’s vocalist and bassist. Guitarist Ichika and drummer Futaba are his university friends. The trio formed a university brand to show its passion for music. But later, due to the Toshihito Karasawa’s policy, they completely changed their motive and their will for music.
- Owner Kobayashi is voiced by Jun Fukushima. He is the owner of BB Lounge. He has a strong personality and also saved Eiko from committing suicide.
Ya Boy Kongming Plot Summary
The story starts with a flashback where the famous and smart military strategist Zhuge Kongming promises to take a second birth on his deathbed. He wishes to take birth in his next life in a peaceful place, that’s completely free from bloodshed. Just like he wished he was reborn in modern Japan in his youthful self in between the Halloween party, in the club district of Tokyo. At the Halloween party, he meets Eiko Tsukmi, who is an aspiring singer.
He likes her singing so much that he feels like she has the ability to convey her heart to others through her music. Eiko’s life is completely different from that of Kongming’s. Eiko’s father left his wife and daughter to pursue his musical dreams. This made her mother completely oppose her idea of becoming a singer. Though her mother opposed her ambition she got more determined to pursue it.
On the other hand, Kongming decides to help Eiko in fulfilling her dream of becoming a famous singer. Kongming, using his high IQ and Intelligence, quickly adapts to the modern world and understands how it works. He plots a plan and successfully implements it. He promotes three famous companies ‘SSS Music’, V-Ex’, and ‘Key Time’ to jointly participate in the large-scale music event named ‘The Orion of 4 years ago’. Not only that, but he used this opportunity to make Eiko a singer. They notice Eiko and she attracts them with her music.
Eiko and others successfully establish their record company named ‘Fourth Company’. Here ends the journey of Eiko, the aspiring singer who became the inspiration for many, and Kongming who continued to become her strategist by taking up the role of her manager.
