Dick Wolf and Derek Haas’s FBI International is all set to be renewed for season 3 and we can’t wait to see what they’ve come up with! This American crime television series is a second spin-off from Wolf’s drama ‘FBI’ and the third addition to the FBI Franchise. It explores the lives of a team of FBI agents who investigate crime and terrorism abroad.
The announcement of a second spin-off series of FBI named ‘FBI: International being developed was made on February 18, 2021. The series showrunner is Derek Haas, as well as one of the executive producers alongside Dick Wolf, Matt Olmstead, Michael Katleman, Arthur W. Forney, and Peter Jankowski. Wolf claimed he always envisioned the FBI as a franchise, as it offers an “endless trove of stories”, while CBS Entertainment President Kelly Kahl states “We are always talking to Dick [Wolf] and Dick is always bouncing ideas off of us and I can’t rule anything out”. It was also reported that development of the proposed spinoff would begin during the 2020–21 television season.

And the next year and a half later there was FBI: International, which got a three-hour time slot on its premiere night. It is the third hour of the first-ever three-hour, three-show crossover event on television after both ‘FBI,’ and ‘FBI: Most Wanted,’ air.
FBI International Season 3 Release Date
It is unfortunate for fans eagerly awaiting the third season of FBI International that they must wait as there is no information about ‘FBI: International’ season 3’s release date. While FBI International Season 2 was released on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, it is expected that the second season of the series will have around 21-22 episodes.
The first season released on September 21, 2021, had 21 episodes, so on the basis of that, it can be expected that the second will also have almost the same number of episodes. The third season is also likely to have the same number of episodes, but an exact date of premiere has not been announced yet. All we know is that it was renewed for a third season in May 2022.
FBI International Season 3 Cast
This series’ supremacy is based on the dynamic and powerful performances delivered by the actors playing various roles, which in turn contribute to the success of the show. Here are the people behind the characters on screen, who work tirelessly to make this series as great as it is.
The group of agents consists of Luke Kleintank as Scott Forrester, an FBI Supervisory Special Agent and head of the International Fly Team; Heida Reed as Jamie Kellett, an FBI Special Agent who is the team’s second-in-command; Carter Redwood as Andre Raines, and FBI Special Agent on the team, with a background in accounting.
Vinessa Vidotto as Cameron Vo, an FBI Special Agent; she is a West Point graduate and is the team’s newest member, and Green as Tank, a black Giant Schnauzer trained in Schutzhund and retired cadaver dog that obeys Scott Forrester’s commands.
We also see Zeeko Zaki playing the role of OA Zidan, who is an FBI Special Agent from New York, and Julian McMahon playing the role of Jess Lacroix, an FBI Supervisory Special Agent of the Fugitive Task Force.
FBI International Season 3 Plot
The series portrays FBI operatives on the international ‘Fly Team’, an elite team based in Budapest that is in charge of locating and neutralizing threats against American interests throughout the globe, principally in Europe. In addition to combating criminal and terrorist attacks, the team must also deal with the hindrances faced while performing overseas, from uneasy partnerships with foreign law enforcement to restrictions on using firearms.
Despite taking place almost exclusively in the United States, the show has an international flavor meant to contrast with most American police procedural shows.

As of now, no trailer has been released for the show. Since filming for the third season is yet to happen, we can’t expect a trailer anytime soon. The first episode has been titled “Unburdened”. The trailers for seasons 1 and 2 are available on YouTube.
