Created for the streaming service CBS All Access by an American comedy writer and television producer Mike McMahan Star Trek: Lower Decks is an American adult animated comedy science fiction television series. It is based on an American science fiction television series, Star Trek which was created by American television producer, creator, and screenwriter Gene Roddenberry. Mike McMahan is also the executive producer alongside Rod Roddenberry, Alex Kurtzman, Katie Krentz, Heather Kadin, and Trevor Roth.
The animated series featured some very talented American stars as the voice cast, making the series more delightful. The delightful voice cast includes Eugene Cordero, Tawny Newsome, Dawnn Lewis, Jack Quaid, Gillian Vigman, Fred Tatasciore, Jerry O’Connell, Dawnn Lewis, and Noël Wells. The Star Trek series went under development in June 2018 and McMahan was brought in as the showrunner. Produced by CBS Eye Animation Productions alongside Secret Hideout, Important Science, Roddenberry Entertainment, and Titmouse, the makers started working on it in February 2019. The cast members were confirmed by July and production of the first two seasons was done in isolated conditions in 2020 following the Covid-19 pandemic. The show is occasionally linked to previous Star Trek shows.
The first season of this animated series premiered on August 6, 2020, on CBS All Access with 10 episodes. The second season premiered on August 12, 2021, on Paramount+, and the third season on August 25, 2022. Consisting of 23 episodes and 3 seasons, the series received mixed reviews from critics and audiences. In the Women’s Image Network Awards 2021, Dawnn Lewis won the Outstanding Actress Animated Program award for the series and was nominated for various awards.

Star Trek: Lower Decks Season 4 Release Date
Star Trek: Lower Decks debuted on CBS All Access on August 6, 2020, and concluded on October 8, 2020. the second season premiered on August 12, 2021, and conclude on October 14, 2021, and the third season was aired on August 25, 2022, and will be concluded on October 27, 2022. Since the third season is not concluded yet, the production of the fourth season is not started yet.
The makers have renewed the animated show for a fourth season with 10 episodes in January 2022. If we recall, the first three seasons were released in September and ended in October. So Season 4 should also start and conclude at the same time.
